A studio and showroom for unusual, contemporary fine jewellery and design run by Patricia Niemann.
‘As a formally trained goldsmith, designer and glassmaker, my work spans across media, but the making of fine jewellery is at the core. Contemporary one-off and bespoke pieces are designed and hand-made in my studio workshop in Berriedale, using over thirty years of trade experience. Unusual gemstones and pearls are worked into 18ct Gold, Silver, Platinum and Palladium, following own designs or to customer commission.
Striking gemstone necklaces, rings, brooches and more are made, displayed and for sale on site. The human body and its adornment are my focus. I work in one-offs and on varying, betimes sculptural scales. Additional materials I use are blown glass, found and locally sourced objects and felted textiles. While my work is shown internationally in public galleries and museums, it can only be purchased from me directly and in my studio.’
Accessible accessAccess to my premises is largely wheelchair friendly, with limitations: there is level ground access, the threshold rise is 8cm, door entrance width 81cm/32 inches, but a thin layer of gravel on the short distance between the car parking area to the entrance, which may cause issues for narrow wheelchair wheels. |
Eco friendlyBest efforts are made to source, use and re-use materials responsibly and sustainably. |
