We have been growing soft fruits since 1992. We produce strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, blackcurrants, gooseberries, loganberries, redcurrants and gooseberries. Fresh fruit is available from mid May to end of September depend on seasonal weather. Frozen fruit is available all year round. Deliveries are made daily to your local shops and hotels (except Sundays) within Caithness. I attend Wick Market every Saturday. We also attend the Caithness County Show and Halkirk Games.
I started to make preserves in 2003. All the preserves are homemade by myself with help from family and workers. Most of the fruit used in the jams is grown on the croft. All other fruits and vegetables used are all locally sourced. We also have a range of various sizes of containers for preserves for use in hotels and tea rooms. I am also making a marmalade with Rock Rose Gin.
For the market stall each week I also do some home baking. For Christmas I also make two sizes of christmas pudding.
