Badbea is a deserted post-clearance settlement perched on the cliff edge just north of the Ord. Built on an extremely steep hillside it is reputed that stock and children had to be tethered to stop them being blown over the high cliff edge. A momument to the townships former inhabitants was erected in 1911.
