Born in Cape Town in 1976, Wes moved to Belfast with his family when he was 10 years old. He left Belfast at the age of 17 and travelled the world for many years.
Having started his photographic career in street and snowboard photography, Wes has drawn on his travels and his years of experience working with some of the worlds most renowned photographers to develop his own unique style and blend of photography.
Wes’ background in documentary has instilled a sense of storytelling throughout his work. This storytelling is the basis of his approach when fulfilling briefs. Despite shooting in ever changing and challenging environments, Wes strives to draw the character out of each subject to create images on a much more personal level. This enables him to bring another level of human interest to his commercial work.
Wes has experience working on shoots for several international brands such as; Guinness, Martini, Easyjet and HP
