As Society Chair, he has overseen a membership rise from 40 to 214, organised annual exhibitions, led guided walks, attracted grant funding, conducted oral history sessions, carried out extensive genealogy, local history and archaeology research, and given over 80 public talks on a variety of topics. He has organised the annual series of 8 heritage-themed lectures since 2008 and he also publishes the Society’s 120 page annual magazine, the ‘Clyne Chronicle’. He has published six other books on the history and happenings in Brora.
