Karen Phillips

Karen Phillips is the Director of North Lands Creative. Karen has worked in and with arts and cultural organizations for over twenty years. Previous roles include leading on strategy, international and national work at RUA RED, Ireland’s largest interdisciplinary arts centre. She produced and toured work locally, regionally, nationally and internationally, supported numerous emerging and established artists, commissioned and co-produced work and developed a programme of visual arts, performance, dance and digital arts festivals and exhibitions. Before making a move into the world of venue-based arts organisations and studios, Karen worked on policy development and research improving evidence based projects in economic development and public administration within the creative industries sector in UK and Europe.
