Carbisdale Castle's Missing Clockface

When the Duke of Sutherland married Mary Caroline only 4 months after the death of his first wife it was a societal shock, and when he died and Mary Caroline was found guilty of destroying legal documents this set the scene for the building of Carbisdale Castle, 'The Castle of Spite'.
